This was inspired by some scuba diving which the artist undertook as a way of investigating responses to Hito Steyerl's "how to be immersed [in digital circulation] without drowning". Rather than the life-giving experience of breathing oxygen through pipes however, the consumption of the coloured liquid speaks more about the experience of drowning in information, and of excessive consumption.
