untitled [vinyl record covers] (2009-10)
Using vinyl record covers from the 1960s and 70s found in Liverpool and Linz, and then re-working by covering in Plasticine. A development of the 'All the worlds series', these images respond to thinking about issues of mask-wearing, hiddenness and the uncanny. Some of this work was developed during a POST (see www.postliverpool.com) residency at the Altelierhaus Salzamt in Linz, Austria during 2010.
11 from the series were shown in MAERZ Artist Association in Linz, Austria, from July to September 2010. They have also been exhibited as part of 'Pile' an exhibition curated by Craig Fisher, at Surface gallery, Nottingham and Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff in 2011.
