What interested me about secrets is not hiddenness but openness. Secrets being revealed. It is a hallmark of trust and intimacy if we share our secrets, our hidden fears or desperate longings. There’s infinite comfort in knowing that someone knows my darkest self and still loves me. It’s not that everyone should know everything about everybody but that everyone should have somebody to share everything with.
And that is something that all of us are secretly longing for – actually to be known. So my chest is about the revealer of mysteries.
